Harry Humphreys flies over Eyjafjallajökuthe

Harry Humphreys, 5th year student at Crescent flew over the Eyjafjallajökuthe volcano in Iceland during its eruption. To see some fantastic footage taken by Harry click HERE .

Harry recently succeeded in getting his flying license, and at age 16, is one of the youngest in Ireland to do so. Well done Harry.

TY Work Experience Begins

Students in Fielde and Meyer will commence their work experience on Monday February 22nd. The experience lasts for a period of three weeks, ending on Friday March 12th. Normal classes resume for the students concerned on Monday March 15th.

Bike Africa

In March a group of Transition Years will join the returning Bike Africa cyclists on their final leg home. The proceeds from this leg of the journey will be divided equally between the Bike Africa fund and our ongoing fundraising for Haiti. Prayer during Lent

In partnership with the Jesuit Centre for Spirituality, the school chaplaincy will offer a week of directed prayer to staff and parents. The week involves a commitment to read a scripture piece each day (at home) for five days and also to meet with a guide for one half hour daily who will support the prayer time. These meetings are one to one and are relaxed and informal.
The times are very flexible. Dates: March 21^st – March 26th.

The week does not presume a knowledge of the scriptures or a strong faith. Essentially, the week provides busy people with an opportunity to slow down and reflect on issues relevant to them. Further information available from Ms. Grainne Delaney.
