Child Protection Policy
Like many other organizations, in the Church, State and voluntary sectors, the Irish Jesuits have been affected by the issue of child abuse.
Over the past number of years the Province has invited anyone affected by such abuse to make contact. Details of Jesuit Child Protection Policy are available from www.jesuit.ie. The Jesuit Delegate for Child Protection is Fr. Mike

Crescent College Comprehensive SJ reiterates this invitation to anyone affected by such abuse. Our mission is inspired by the values of the Gospel which call us to cherish children and to place them first. The care of our students is an absolute priority. Our child protection policies reflect this. We assure parents and those associated with the school that we follow rigorous child protection guidelines which comply fully with those of the Department of Education & Skills.
The contact person in Crescent College Comprehensive SJ ( Designated Liason Person) is the school principal, Mr. Nicholas Cuddihy. The DLP should be contacted by anyone with a concern, query or complaint in the area of child protection.
In keeping with best practice the Board of Management of Crescent College Comprehensive SJ is committed to ongoing review of Child Protection and all school policies. Further details of school policies in relation to school tours for 2010-11 and the supervision of students are available from the school office and the tour leaders.
